BrickLink Arbitration Opt-Out

This is not legal advice. This is based on a layman’s interpretation of a legal agreement.

The Lego Group has announced BrickLink accounts must be merged with LEGO.com accounts by December 31st, 2025. This integration requires acceptance of new Terms of Service which include binding arbitration and class action waiver provisions if you reside outside the EEA/UK/Switzerland/Australia/New Zealand/Turkey/Japan/Brazil. You have 30 days from the date on which you accept the updated terms to opt out of these provisions and reserve your rights. This page explains how I prepared my opt-out letter.

Opt-Out Process

I wrote a simple letter (template below) including my full name, my BrickLink username, my BrickLink account number (steps I used to find this detailed below), my address, and a statement indicating I did not wish to resolve disputes with BrickLink via binding arbitration. I printed and signed the letter then mailed it to:

BrickLink Legal Department
505 Technology Drive
Ste 300
Irvine, CA 92618

Per the terms this appears to be all that is needed.
